You may say : I'm a dreamer, you show me that I'm not the only one....

Dear Friends!
RépondreSupprimerMany greetings.I like just to write about the liberation of
Poritosh....Let me say in the beginning how extremely important your
concern has been, your prayer ,your help with money for the
(ex)prisoners. In Bangladesh people are not accustomed to say "thank
you",but the ex-prisoners express their gratefulness in a hundred
ways. Thanks to your generosity I have been able to help a lot and it is
not finished .I would like ,when I have the money ,to help one or two
more people to get back the land they have mortgaged, one or two persons
like to build a small house, the oldest ex-prisoner asked me money to buy
a bed .I think that he is -like many people here -sleeping on the
floor.I gave some pocketmoney for the first few days in liberty to
Poritosh.Slowly -according to my ressources I will help...
Life in liberty is not always easy....Several people have big problems
in their families.....Some manage unexpectedly well. The most beautiful
example is Victor,a former teacher. His wife became quite crazy (when he
was in prison). She sold everything she could sell :house ,land
,trees.Nothing of the former prosperity remained.Just before Victor came
out of prison a daughter bought a small piece of land for the mother and
built a small ,but nice house made of bamboo. When Victor came out of
jail he asked for some help to buy some musicinstruments,to dig a pond
,to plant trees. Now he has a lot of fish in his pond ,he has a nice
garden and he is teaching music. His son is living with him (the son is
earning some money) and his wife became almost normal (still she is
rather silent).Victor is radiant,a beautiful new life.
I am very happy to have become over the years a close "relative"of these
ex-prisoners.Their inner strength and their faith were very inspiring
for me...
And now about Poritosh.
New life....
Suddenly the news came that Poritosh would be liberated...,after more
than 19 years in prison. When he came out of jail ,he looked so happy .He
looked very young ,much younger than his 39 years...After one day in
Mymensingh I traveled with him to his village. We arrived late in the
evening, completely whet(it was raining very strongly). We had difficulty
to find the village in the dark night.Poritosh did not recgnize
anything:whole new villages and markets had come up ,which he had never
seen....Nobody knew about his liberation....The joy of his sister
,nephews ,nieces ,cousins was enormous. There was a lot of weeping and
embracing...The next day we went around the whole day, visiting many
people (also on the other side of the border.... half of the village is
in Bangladesh ,half in India.).I was impressed by the strong
relationships....Poritosh has hundreds of relatives and
friends...Everybody will come to meet him and he will visit everybody...
In the evening we -all the exprisoners ,their families and friends-went
to the house of Gilioth.A pig was killed,a meal for many people was
prepared(many people helped with the preparations).Gilioth had promised
that as soon as Poritosh was liberated he would organize a big
feastmeal. So ,he kept his promise...Then there was a deeply touching
prayerservice, followed by a meal... The next morning I left for
Mymensingh ,intensely happy that finally Poritosh was free...
A Dieu ,brother Guillaume.
